Maruti Suzuki WagonR Waltz limited edition launched at Rs 5.65 lakh

The WagonR Waltz petrol has a claimed mileage of 25.19kmpl and the WagonR Waltz CNG of 33.48kmpkg.

Maruti Suzuki India today announced the launch of the WagonR Waltz limited edition for a starting price of Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in petrol and CNG options in LXi, VXi and ZXi variants.

The WagonR is one of the largest-selling cars of Maruti ever in India. It has garnered sales of over 3,250,000 units since its launch in 1999. At present, it commands a share of over 64% in the mid-hatchback segment.

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR Waltz limited edition comes with a host of exterior elements such as fog lamps, wheel-arch cladding, bumper protectors, side skirts, body side molding and front chrome grille. There is a new interior styling kit and designer floor mats. Additionally, the car gets a touchscreen music system, security system, and a reverse parking camera.

The safety features include dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC) and hill-hold. Overall, there are more than 12 safety features.

The vehicle has two K-series engine options -- 1.0-litre petrol and 1.2-litre petrol -- featuring Dual Jet, Dual VVT with Idle Start Stop (ISS) technologies. Both units have MT and AMT options in petrol. The 1.0-litre petrol unit gets CNG option with a manual transmission. The WagonR Waltz petrol has a claimed mileage of 25.19kmpl and the WagonR Waltz CNG of 33.48kmpkg.

The Maruti Suzuki WagonR achieved the first 1 million sales by 2012, and 2 million by 2017. It reached 3 million sales in 2023. While the WagonR commanded a 61% market share in the mid-hatchback segment in FY24, it grew to 64% in FY25.
