Man killed in clash between two groups in Ajmer, bulldozer vandalised

A clash over a land dispute in Rajasthan's Ajmer district led to the death of one man and injuries to another due to firing. A bulldozer was destroyed, and other vehicles were also vandalised during the incident.

A man was killed, and another person was injured in an alleged firing incident during a clash between two groups in Rajasthan's Ajmer district on Sunday.

According to the police, the clash erupted between the two groups over construction on a piece of land in the Rupangarh area, which reportedly belonged to a Jain Samaj group.

One group opposed the construction, alleging that the sarpanch had wrongfully leased the land, although the owner, Jain Samaj, distanced itself from the matter.

The dispute quickly escalated, and both sides allegedly attacked each other with sticks and rods. During the violence, one side opened fire, resulting in the death of a young man, Shakeel Langa, according to police officials.

Another person, Narayan Kumawat, was injured in the incident and has been hospitalised.

The mob also destroyed a JCB machine, set it on fire, and vandalised several other vehicles.

The incident has led to tension in the area, and additional security forces have been deployed. The police have also launched a manhunt to apprehend those involved in the violence.
