Telangana man stabs wife to death, her mother injured while trying to stop attack

A man stabbed his 28-year-old wife to death and injured her mother when she tried to intervene during the attack in Telangana's Rajanna Sircilla district, police said.

The incident occurred following a dispute between the victim, Gandikota Jyothi and her husband, Pallapu Suresh.

Sources said Suresh stabbed Jyothi multiple times, including in the neck and abdomen. She sustained critical injuries and died on the spot.

The attack allegedly took another violent turn when Jyothi’s mother, Yellamma, attempted to intervene and stop Suresh. He attacked her as well, leaving her seriously injured.

Locals rushed Yellamma to a nearby hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.

Police reached the scene after being alerted and began examining the circumstances surrounding the attack.

Meanwhile, a hunt is underway to nab Suresh.
