Phonemakers are going all out when it comes to camera-centric flagship phones. Oppo is the latest to confirm that it is launching its top-of-the-line flagship, the Find X9 Ultra in India next month, a device that promises to deliver a professional photography experience in a smartphone. The Find X9 Ultra will compete against other ‘Ultra’ devices including the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the upcoming Vivo X300 Ultra.

In a press release, Oppo confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra will launch alongside the Find X9s in India in May 2026. This expands the Find X9 line-up in the country to four devices – the Find X9, Find X9 Pro, Find X9 Ultra, and the Find X9s. The Find X9s will sit below the vanilla Find X9.

From the design and cameras, to the performance and battery, here is everything you need to know about Oppo’s upcoming flagship devices. But before we begin, do note that both devices have already been launched in some markets, including China.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra design

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra comes with a drastically different design from the rest of the Find X9 series. The back of the phone is dominated by a large circular camera module, which houses four cameras, but we’ll get to that later. The flash is placed on the top left side of the phone. And you get prominent Oppo and Hasselblad branding.

The thickness of the Find X9 Ultra varies depending on the colour variant. The orange model with a fibreglass back is 8.65mm thick. While the vegan leather Tundra variant has a thickness of 9.1mm. The Tundra variant comes in a split design, which may remind you of a professional camera, something phonemakers often try to mimic with camera-centric devices.

You get an aluminium frame. The device comes with IP66/IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
