Jake Paul issued a challenge to Conor McGregor on November 16, Saturday after securing a monumental win over Mike Tyson in the NetFlix fight in Dallas Texas. Paul defeated Tyson via unanimous decision in what was a controversial fight that received criticism from around the world.

McGregor was one of the stars who had panned the fight in a now-deleted tweet, saying it was a 16-minute sparring session and nothing more. Paul would take to X after his win over Tyson and issued a MMA challenge to UFC star. In his tweet, the 27-year-old claimed that McGregor told his team that he would fight the Problem Child at 170 pounds but admitted that it would never happen. Paul would go on to say that both men can instead fight inside the octagon with no weight class.

Paul ended the tweet by taking a shot at McGregor, claiming he would never take the fight.

"Dear Conor, I know you told my team you would fight me at 170lbs. That’s never happening. But let’s run it in MMA. No weight class. Just like how it used to be done. But you won’t" said Paul on X.

McGregor will never do that

After the fight with Tyson, Paul would comment on the chance of having a bout against McGregor inside the boxing ring. Paul claimed that McGregor would never take a fight against him because of his UFC commitments.

Paul is confident that if he were to face McGregor, the fight would end the same way as his previous bouts—with McGregor hitting the canvas.

"Yeah, he'll never do that though," Paul admitted, as quoted by Express US, regarding a potential fight with the MMA star.

"He knows. He's not his own boss. It's easy to say Conor McGregor doesn't want to fight Jake Paul, but it's the ------- truth. Look at him go toe to toe with Nate Diaz who was easy work for me. It was like a Monday sparring session."

McGregor last fought in the UFC in July 2021.
