NEW YORK - Move over Karen and snowflake. There’s a new go-to political put-down: Theatre kid.

Last month, comedian Tim Dillon referred to New York City’s mayor-elect, Mr Zohran Mamdani, as a “theatre kid”, arguing that Mr Mamdani’s victory speech was “a little cringe”.
