Thieves target Kali Mandir temple, donation box, silver, gold ornaments looted

Udala: Thieves strike Mandir again in Odisha’s Udala late on Friday night. They carried out thefts at the Smashan Kali Mandir.

The miscreants allegedly broke open the donation box belonging to the deity late night on Friday. They have also decamped with silver crown of the goddess along with golden chitta, necklace and other ornaments. Around 30,000 cash was looted from the donation box of the temple.

When the priest opened the mandir in the morning hours and found the donation box open and money, gold and silver jewellery missing, he immediately informed the police about the incident.

On being informed, the cops reached the mandir and started a probe into the matter.
