13-year-old girl raped at neigbour’s house in Gujarat, man calls her to make tea

Ahmedabad: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped at her neigbour’s house in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The neigbour raped her and threatened of her of consequences if she tries to speak about the incident to anyone.

The accused of this sexual harassment case is identified as 34-year-old Imtiyaz Sheikh, who was the victim girl’s neighbour in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He was married and have four kids, according to reports.

The incident occurred in the locality where the victim lives, Sheikh requested the girl’s mother to send her to prepare tea for him. The mother didn’t think anything about the wrong happenings as he was the neighbour.

The girl went to the house, prepared tea, then she was asked to go to a shop to get some snacks. When she returned back to the neighbour’s house with the snacks Sheikh allegedly started molesting her and then raped her.

The 13-year-old didn’t go home till few hours after which her mother went to Sheikh’s house to bring her back home. The girl didn’t speak anything about the happening, but the next day she spoke it out.

Following the confession, parents of the victim lodged a complaint against Imtiyaz Sheikh. The accused was arrested after the complaint.

Police has registered a case against the man under the relevant provisions of law.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
