IMD issues weather forecast and warning for Odisha districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday issued weather forecast and warning for several districts of Odisha.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 40-50 kmph) and heavy rainfall very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri and Gajapati, predicted the weather department while issuing orange warning.
Similarly, IMD sounded yellow warning for thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) at one or two places over the districts of Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghapur, Cuttack, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, and Nayagarh.

Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower are very likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Odisha.
Likewise, hot and humid conditions very likely to prevail at isolated places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghapur, Cuttack, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Angul, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, and Nayagarh.
