Jaleswar: A woman brutally attacked her mother-in-law with a sharp weapon over a domestic squabble and a supposed financial row in Odisha’s Balasore district.
The bizarre incident occured in Patharghata village of the Bhogarai block.
As per reports, the assailant identified as Shivani allegedly struck her mother-in-law with a sharp weapon (Paniki) in connection with some household dispute and an alleged money issue.
The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment and later referred to SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack when the condition deteriorated.

On being informed, Bhogarai Police swiftly detained the accused daughter-in-law, who is now under interrogation.
A police inquiry has been initiated to investigate the specific reason for the incident thoroughly.
