12 people shot at Ohio Community Festival,search operation underway

New-Delhi: A shooting erupted near the Old West End Festival in Toledo, Ohio on Saturday evening, wounding 12 people, search for the suspects underway.
The Toledo Police Department said the shooting happened near the Old West End Festival, an annual gathering of live music and home tours in a historic district of the city.
As per Toledo Deputy Police Chief Joe Heffernan, two of the wounded were in critical condition.

“I am deeply concerned about the situation in Toledo tonight,” Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said in a statement. “Summer festivals should be safe spaces for families to spend time together without fear of violence.”
There have been multiple videos being posted on social media where people are seen running amid the sound of gunshots and emergency officials tending to others who appeared wounded.
The Old West End Festival represents an annual two-day gathering held within Toledo’s historic district, which contains one of the largest concentrations of Victorian residences in the US.
