Heavy rainfall to lash Odisha as cyclonic circulation intensifies over Bay of Bengal

Bhubaneswar: Several parts of Odisha are expected to experience heavy rainfall due to a cyclonic circulation persisting over the Bay of Bengal as predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

Rainfall is expected to intensify as a low pressure area is expected to develop over the region tomorrow, added IMD.

Koraput is predicted to experience very heavy rainfall, with isolated places in several other districts witnessing light to heavy shower.

Wind speed is predicted to range from 30 to 40 kmph in few places with wind gust to reach 55kmph along the north Odisha coast.

The sea condition is predicted to be rough in the period of August 11 to 14, while fishermen are advised to take precautionary measure while approaching the sea.

Meanwhile, Bhubaneswar is predicted to have cloudy weather with possibility of rain today.
