2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza secures 5 stars rating in Bharat NCAP crash test

The 2026 Maruti Suzuki Brezza, which is set to launch in India in India tomorrow, has secured a five-star rating in Bharat NCAP crash tests.

The tested variant was the ZXI+ with the 1.5-litre six-speed automatic, and the rating is applicable across select variants spanning all three engine options in the lineup including the 1.5-litre six-speed manual, the 1.5-litre six-speed automatic, and the new 1.0-litre turbo petrol with a six-speed manual.

In Adult Occupant Protection, the Brezza scored 30.41 out of 32. Breaking that down, the car returned 14.41 out of 16 in the frontal offset deformable barrier test and a perfect 16 out of 16 in the side movable deformable barrier test. The side pole impact test was also cleared. On the Child Occupant Protection front, the Brezza scored 43 out of 49, with a CRS dynamic score of 24 out of 24, a CRS installation score of 12 out of 12, and a vehicle assessment score of 7 out of 13.

Standard safety equipment across all variants includes electronic stability control, side head curtain airbags, pedestrian protection, and seat belt reminders for all seating positions. ISOFIX anchorages are available on the outboard rear seats.

In the context of its segment, the Brezza’s AOP score of 30.41 is a competitive result. It sits just below the Kia Seltos at 31.70 and the Tata Nexon’s strong showing, but ahead of several other rivals in the compact SUV space.
