Ranchi: Jharkhand student protest and government holding talks with the students regarding the recruitment examination irregularities ended without breakthrough yesterday. The students are going to hold a march to state assembly today.

As per reports, the students accused the government and vice versa for not being serious regarding the matter. This protest happened because of recruitment examinations and cancellation of a Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) examination.

The students demanded CBI probe into this matter which was rejected by the government.

The student protestors said they will be marching to assembly instead of returning to the table of negotiation as appealed by the Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar

The agitation has been sustained since for more than 2 weeks and the leader of the student protestors Devendra Nath Mahto is on an indefinite hunger strike.

It is said that his condition has deteriorated a lot, putting more pressure on the government for resolving the issues related to the protesters.

Further investigation into this matter is underway.
