New Delhi: On Saturday, a Bihar court gave interim relief to educator Faisal Khan, widely known as “Khan Sir,” while hearing his anticipatory bail plea.

The court also maintained its “no coercive action” order, directing the police not to take any strict action against him until the next hearing in the case related to a firing incident at a coaching institute.
Days after violence erupted outside the Khan Global Studies coaching institute in Patna, police registered an FIR against Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, along with two others in connection with the June 2 firing and vandalism case.

The case was filed following an incident in which a group allegedly attacked the coaching centre, damaged property, and hurled stones at the premises. According to Patna Police, the incident took place around 10:10 PM on June 2.

In an official statement issued by the Office of the City Superintendent of Police, authorities said an investigation was launched after registering Case No. 410/26. As a result of the investigation, authorities obtained video footage allegedly showing two people shooting into the air after the vandalism.

Police later identified the individuals as security guards associated with the coaching institute and detained them based on the video evidence.

Following further investigation and recovery of the weapons, Khan Sir and two others were named in the FIR under charges related to abetment and provisions of the Arms Act.
Meanwhile, Patna Police appealed to students not to become involved in competition or disputes among coaching institutes. The police emphasised that maintaining law and order remains a priority and warned that strict action would be taken against any criminal activity.
