Dubai introduces four-day work week for government employees this summer

New Delhi: The reduced work-life balance working schedule for public employees in the summer months will enable them to work a four-day work week and enjoy reduced working hours at work.
The Dubai Government Human Resources Department is back for another year with its “Our Flexible Summer” programme, offering government employees a four-day work week.
The programme starts on June 29 and runs until September 10, being the third successive year for the initiative.
The government departments will either offer reduced working hours or a four-day work week based on two flexible work plans

It will ensure that services continue while employees can still benefit from extra family or personal time.
The goal is to help them balance work with personal life and boost employee productivity and satisfaction at work during the summer.
The plan only affects the public sector in Dubai. Private employees will not be part of the summer work plan.
