A Rs 200 lucky draw coupon has brought a big surprise to a family in Madhya Pradesh, with their six-year-old son winning a Toyota Fortuner worth around Rs 50 lakh.

Medansh Raikwar, a resident of Seelampura in Burhanpur, won the first prize in a lucky draw organised at Shri Sarkar Dham in Abhapuri.

The story began nearly a year ago when Medansh’s grandmother, Kiran Raikwar, attended a Garba event and purchased a lucky draw coupon for Rs 200. She entered her grandson’s name, unaware that the small purchase would eventually bring the family such a valuable prize.

When the draw results were announced in 2026, Medansh’s name was picked as the winner. The family, which had been hoping to own a car for the past two years, was overjoyed by the unexpected win.

The neighbourhood joined in the celebrations as Medansh received a grand welcome amid the sound of drums, family also performed a puja and offered prayers after receiving the car.

What began as a small purchase at a festive event has now turned into a memorable moment for the family, with a Rs 200 coupon leading to an SUV worth around Rs 50 lakh.
