Excise Department intensifies raids during festive season

Kataka: With the aim of ensuring strict compliance with excise regulations and curbing illegal activities during the festive season, the Kataka Excise Department has been conducting patrols and vehicle checks, extending late into the night.

As part of its operation, the Kataka Excise Department carried out inspections today at various liquor shops in the Salepur area. Furthermore, regular inspections of liquor shops are ongoing across Kataka and its surrounding areas, specifically in the Bidanasi and Barang localities. In total, the excise team has inspected 25 liquor shops.

Additionally, vehicles entering Kataka from the border areas of other districts are also being checked. It has been informed that the department will further intensify these inspection and raid operations in the coming days, with the aim of preventing violations of excise regulations and keeping a close watch on illegal activities during the festive season.
