Schools closed in Baleshwar and Sambalpur in view of heavy rainfall

Bhubaneswar: The Baleshwar district administration has ordered to shut down all the educational institutions throughout the district for two days owing to persistent heavy rainfall due to low pressure.

The orders for closure have been given by the District Collector in view of the safety of students.

The District Education Officer (DEO) has also instructed the Block Education officers (BEOs) as directed by the Collector to close down the educational institutes spread all over the district today and tomorrow.

Furthermore, the Sambalpur district administration has announced one-day holiday in all government and private schools across the district due to excessive rainfall.

The decision was made in order to avert any incident or untoward outcome due to severe downpour.

The Sambalpur District Collector has announced holiday for the schools in the area in view of the warning issued to save the students.

It is to be noted here that schools in Bhadrak and Mayurbjanj districts will also remain closed today as directed by respective district administration.
