Maruti Suzuki announced price hike of up to Rs 20,000 for select models

Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of select models among it’s lineup in India following the launch of the new Baleno Facelift. This is the tird time the carmaker has annoucned a price hike in a period of three months.

With the price increase, the cost of the selected models has gone up by Rs. 20,000. The price hike comes into effect from this month.

Citing the reason behind the price rise, the company stated that the sustained increase in input costs has made the brand to revise the cost of selected model in the country.

Similar to the last few occasions, India’s largest automobile manufacturer has revealed that with inflationary burdens at elevated levels and the adverse cost environment enduring, it is constrained to pass on a portion of the increased costs to the market. They further added that the company has been making continuous efforts to mitigate the cost impact to the extent possible through cost reduction measures.

The brand is expected to debut the CNG-AMT combination in the Baleno facelift soon, marking the first-of-its-kind for the automaker and second in the segment, with the Tata Altroz being the first.
