Afghanistan postpones domestic T20 league to pay respect to late former pacer Shapoor Zadran

New Delhi: The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has postponed two days of matches in the ongoing 11th edition of the Shpageeza Cricket League to honour late former pacer Shapoor Zadran.
The matches that was scheduled for the date July 8 and 9 was postponed to pay respect and tribute. It also said that revised schedule will be announced soon.
The former Pacer Shapoor Zadran passed away at the age of 38 due to prolonged illness. The information regarding this was revealed by the Afghanistan Cricket Board yesterday.

Zadran had been battling Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a rare immune system disorder, and had been undergoing treatment in the Delhi-NCR region for the past several months.
Zadran represented Afghanistan in 80 international matches, including 44 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and 36 T20 Internationals, between 2009 and 2020, ANI reports
The ACB described Zadran as an inspiration to aspiring Afghan cricketers, saying his fighting spirit, determination and passion for the game motivated a generation and instilled belief in the future of Afghanistan cricket.
