Odisha govt re-opens portal of Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana, apply soon to get govt scholarship

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has re-opened portal of Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana Scheme paving ways for the eligible students to apply and get the government scholarship for the year 2026-27.

According to the Higher Education Department, portal of Mukhyamantri Medhabi Chhatra Protsahan Yojana Scheme has been reopened in the second phase so that the fresh students can apply for different schemes like e-Medhabruti (UG Merit, PG Merit, Technical and Professional Merit), Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti Scheme and Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana.

The online application, which started from November 5, will continue till November 20, 2026. The eligible students, who are pursuing general courses, i.e. UG (+3) courses, PG Courses and Technical & Professional Courses in SAMS and Non-SAMS institutions (i.e. UGC/AICTE/MCI affiliated Universities/Management, Engineering, Medical & other Technical institutions), can submit their online application through the Odisha State Scholarship Portal (OSSP) at https://scholarship.odisha.gov.in/.

While the validation for e-Medhabruti (UG Merit, PG Merit, Technical and Professional Merit), Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti Scheme is upto November 30, 2026, for the Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana validation is up to December 15 at DWO and OSACS level.

Under e-Medhabruti Scholarship

  • UG Merit: Rs 10,000.
  • PG Merit: Rs 15,000.
  • Technical & Professional Merit: Rs 20,000.

Under Gopabandhu Sikhya Sahayata Yojana:

  • Rs 20,000 per Year

Under Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Bhasabruti:

  • UG course: Rs 20,000 (one-time in 1st year)
  • PG course: Rs 30,000 (one-time in 1st year)
