New Delhi: Indian digital payments major PhonePe on Monday unveiled a comprehensive overhaul of its wealth and capital markets business, formally transitioning its stock broking brand Share.Market into PhonePe Invest.
As reported by ANI, Alongside the brand consolidation under the flagship corporate identity, the platform introduced Portfolio Optimiser, an analytical suite engineered to assist retail investors in assembling, evaluating, and rebalancing their equity holdings.
The repositioning merges PhonePe’s retail capital market services—spanning equities, initial public offerings (IPOs), mutual funds, and futures and options (F&O)—with data-driven portfolio evaluation capabilities.
Three-Pronged Analytical Framework
The newly rolled out Portfolio Optimiser functions across three primary modules:

- Build: Tailored for entry-level market participants seeking structured guidance to construct portfolios aligned with personal objectives.
- Review: Aggregates holdings across multiple demat accounts owned by an investor to deliver an integrated audit of portfolio health and asset allocation. This component assigns research-grounded ratings—categorizing specific holdings as Hold, Monitor, or Sell—to guide capital allocation choices.
- Optimise: Scans for sector concentration imbalances and lagging holdings, offering alternative instruments to streamline rebalancing.
Access to the tool is split across two distribution channels. Dedicated market participants can use the full feature set via the standalone PhonePe Invest mobile application, while the core PhonePe application will carry streamlined, guided investment paths aimed at broader retail audiences.
Rahul Chari, Founder and Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) of PhonePe, framed the move as a strategic alignment of the group’s financial services footprint.
Chari stated that bringing wealth and broking activities under the PhonePe masthead reflects the enterprise’s goal to expand access to intelligent investing across India, drawing parallels to its earlier efforts in scaling the country’s digital payments infrastructure. He noted that as wider demographics enter capital markets, the company aims to simplify wealth generation and provide actionable market intelligence, ensuring investors maintain complete autonomy over their financial decisions.
PhonePe confirmed that existing Share.Market clients will experience uninterrupted service throughout the platform changeover.
Client login credentials, order logs, existing watchlists, cash balances, and underlying demat holdings will remain intact under the updated interface. Furthermore, the company affirmed that existing pricing schedules, annual maintenance charges (AMC), and brokerage rate tiers will remain unchanged.
