Rajasthan Panchayat bans smartphones for women in 15 villages

New Delhi: Keeping in view the eyesight issues by gazing at the smartphone for long time a Panchayat in Rajasthan has decided that married women will be banned from using smartphones from coming January 26. This ban will be applicable in 15 villages.
As per reports, at the panchayat meeting held in Ghazipur village on December 21 a decision has been taken to ban Smartphones for women in 15 villages of jalore, Rajasthan. Accordingly, woman will not be allowed to use camera enabled mobile phones to wedding, public gatherings and even visiting neighbours.

The ban has also been put because the women are providing phones to their wards by which the kids are being distracted from studies and their eyesight get affected due to screen exposure.
