Gurugram: A resident of Trump Towers Delhi-NCR in Gurugram has accused the property’s developer and management of restricting access to his 36th-floor apartment.

They allegedly deactivated the lift call button and blocked entry for visitors, delivery agents, and service providers.

The resident, Varun Suhag, claimed that he had paid more than ₹6.69 crore for the apartment in Sector 65.

In a video shared on social media, he alleged that the restrictions began on Friday after he moved his household belongings into the flat. He said he had received possession of the apartment on August 26, 2026.

According to Suhag, he cannot independently call the lift and has to contact the maintenance help desk whenever he needs to leave or enter the apartment.

He alleged that he sometimes has to wait for 20 to 30 minutes for the lift to arrive. He also claimed that workers delivering and installing curtains were denied entry.

The resident raised concerns about the safety of his family, pointing out that his mother has a heart condition and that he has a one-year-old child who may require emergency medical assistance.

He also alleged that repeated emails seeking an explanation from the management had gone unanswered.

The controversy has drawn the attention of Gurugram Police. A police official said notices had been issued to both parties and they had been asked to appear before the authorities on Monday, November 2, to explain their positions.

However, it is said that the local police station officer claimed that the dispute involved allegations of illegal occupation and non-payment of maintenance charges. The builder’s side had not publicly responded to the allegations in the reports.

The incident has sparked debate over the rights of apartment owners, the responsibilities of housing management and the importance of ensuring residents’ access to essential services, particularly in high-rise buildings.
