Balianta Brutal Murder Case: 8 accused to be interrogated by Crime Branch in Jharpada Jail, watch

Bhubaneswar: Crime Branch continues its investigation into the alleged misconduct with a woman in Odisha’s Balianta and will interrogate as many as eight accused kept at the Jharpada Jail.

As per reports, a team under DSP Ratnaprabha Satpathy will interrogate a total of eight accused criminals arrested by Balianta police.

These are among the eleven persons arrested so far in connection with the case.

The Crime Branch has taken first three accused on remand, which reportedly helped investigators to get vital leads in the case.

The agency also carries out the investigation in the murder case of Soumya Ranjan and possible nexus with the misconduct case.

Preparing to submit charge-sheet at the earliest possible, the Crime Branch would also record the remaining statements of accused persons while quizzing at the Jharpada Jail.

The probe is being conducted both for the alleged misconduct with the survivor and the Soumya Ranjan murder.
