Eicher Truck Driver Killed After Vehicle Rams into Container Near Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A truck driver lost his life in a road accident after his Eicher vehicle rammed into the rear of a container truck on the Jaanla overbridge on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar on Saturday.

According to reports, the impact of the collision was so severe that the driver became trapped inside the mangled cabin of the Eicher truck.

Upon receiving information, Fire Services personnel rushed to the accident site and launched a rescue operation. They had to cut open parts of the damaged vehicle to extricate the trapped driver.

The driver was subsequently rescued and rushed to a hospital for treatment. However, he died following the accident.

Meanwhile, the accident caused significant traffic disruption on the National Highway, leaving several vehicles stranded.

Police reached the spot and took necessary measures to clear the traffic congestion. Vehicular movement was subsequently restored to normal.
