Honor has joined Xiaomi in launching smartphones with rear display. The Chinese smartphone has introduced the Honor X5d s, which features a rear screen of its own.

Xiaomi first introduced the rear screen with the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, which are high-end models.

However, Honor’s X5d s is not a premium offering as the device’s price is very budget friendly.

It features a 6.78-inch LCD screen with 720×1576 resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 600-nit typical brightness. At the rear, the display measure 2.01-inch 240×296 in size.

It’s powered by the Unisoc T610 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It runs Android 16 (Go Edition).

Dimension wise, it measures 168.3 x 78.5 x 8.72 mm and weighs 214g. It’s IP52 rated for dust and rain resistance. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is embedded in the power button.

It’s currently listed in South Africa, where it comes with a 15W charger in the box (as well as a TPU case). The Honor X5d s is priced at ZAR 2,499 (approximately Rs 14,390) in the global/South African market for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model.
