Three Maoists neutralised by security forces in Sukma

Sukma: Three Maoists were neutralised in an encounter between security forces and naxalities in the forested hills under Golapalli police station limits in Sukma district of Chhattisgarh on Thursday morning, police officials said.
Acting on a tip-off, the security forces where indicated about the presence of maoists in that area.

team of District Reserve Guard (DRG) was then dispatched to the location, leading to a gunfight with the Naxalites. Three people were gunned down in the exchange of fire which broke out in the early hours of Thursday. Security personnel have also recovered a few weapons from the spot. More details about the gunfight are still awaited.
An intensive search operation is going on in the area.
