The permission for the protest was uncertain earlier, but was eventually given, and was later followed by organisers appealing to protest against exams peacefully.

The protest came following successful similar campaigns by the CJP in Delhi and Pune, as the organisation has been spreading its movement across India.

The student campaign, which has gained much attention over social media, is widely followed by students and young job seekers as the movement is highlighting issues of the examination system, recruitment, and education among the younger generation.

Although the protest gained attention, it also invited controversy as the venue was reported to have had a segment where students did not seem very happy with the way the demonstration was conducted, and on social media, discussions were doing the rounds regarding the leadership and strategy of the movement.

Despite debates around the movement, the protest demonstrated concerns that students across India had about fair exams and their transparency.
