OnePlus Pad 3 Pro unveiled in China with 13.2″ 144Hz LCD, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset

OnePlus has expanded it’s product range with the addition of a new tablet in the Chinese market. The latest tablet offering from the brand is the OnePlus Pad 3 Pro. The new Pad 3 Pro features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset along with a 13.2” LCD display. It has a 13,380mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC charging.

The Pad 3 Pro is equipped 13.2” LCD display with a 3,392 x 2,400px resolution, 7:5 aspect ratio, a 144Hz refresh rate and 540Hz touch sampling rate. The screen also supports up to 1,000 nits peak brightness. It is claimed to offer very accurate color rendering plus and also has Dolby Vision and HDR Vivid support.

Powering the device is a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset that is claimed to have 52% higher score on AnTuTu over the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro and the global OnePlus Pad 3. It also gets a 20% uplift in CPU performance and a 23% faster GPU.

The tablet has a massive 13,380mAh battery, which is the same as the Pad 4, launched in China. However, the battery is Pad 4 supports up to 80W charging, while the cell in Pad 3 Pro only has support for 67W SuperVOOC charging. The battery is claimed to last watch time of up to 25 half hour episodes on a single charge.

For comparison, the OnePlus Pad 3 for China had a 9,520mAh battery and the global one a 12,140mAh battery.

The display supports a stylus for note-taking – AI will take your scribblings and transform them into tables and mind maps. An optional keyboard case is available as well if you need to enter more text than you can with the stylus. When used for entertainment, the tablet offers eight on-board speakers for immersive audio.

In China at least, it ships with a charger and USB A-to-C cable. It’s not clear whether the Pro will be available outside of China (but the Pad 2 Pro was available globally, so maybe).

 Price and availability

The OnePlus Pad 3 Pro is priced starting at CNY 4,400(around Rs 61,371) for the 12GB /256GB, CNY 4,900 (around Rs 68,345) for the 12GB /512GB and CNY 5,400 (around Rs 75,307) for the 16/512GB configurations. The new tablet is available in Dark Brown and Light Green. You can find it on the Oppo online store in China.
