Atiq Ahmed’s youngest son Aban killed in car crash in Jhansi

New-Delhi: Aban Ahmed, the youngest of slain gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed’s five sons, was killed in a road accident in Uttar Pradesh’s Jhansi on Thursday while travelling to meet his jailed brother.

The police officials said, Aban was travelling from Prayagraj to Jhansi to meet his brother lodged in jail, when the white Hyundai Creta car he was travelling in allegedly lost control and rammed into a road divider.

The impact was so severe that the front portion of the vehicle was completely mangled, resulting in the deaths of Aban and another occupant, while three others were seriously injured and rushed to a hospital for treatment.

As per reports, the group was travelling from Prayagraj to Jhansi to meet Ali Ahmed, brother of Aban, who is lodged in the Jhansi district jail after being shifted there from Naini Central Jail on October 1, 2025.

As per police, the vehicle was reportedly travelling at high speed when the accident took place. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the crash.
