Women pricked with syringes, raped at annual musical event in France

Paris: A heart-shattering incident occurred in which two women were allegedly raped and several others were stabbed with syringes during the annual Fete de la Musique celebrations in France

This incident created widespread violence, street disorder, and hundreds of arrest overnight.

The incident occurred when millions of people including tourists from outside the country came together for a music festival. It is being reportedly said that this was not the only violent incident in Paris, there were many more.

Following the incident, several females complained regarding being pricked with syringes when the event was ongoing.

As per reports, one woman became unconscious after being pricked and was rushed to hospital for medical treatment. It is not confirmed if something was injected into her or not. She was present at the Boulevard de la Madeleine when this happened.

The event didn’t only have syringe events it had rape incidents as well. Two women were allegedly raped during the event. The local police of France have launched an investigation into this matter according to the complaints that they have received.

The exact details of the incidents remain unclear as inquiries are still underway.

A tourist from Britain said that the atmosphere of the event was very crowded and dangerous at some point of time. It was unsafe for people for their movement around the city due to fights at several locations.

Paris was one of the places which were violent with that many other parts of the country faced stabbings, street fights, and clashes among groups.

Following the incident, at least 243 people in France were arrested by the authorities. Majority of the arrests were made in Paris.

Thousands of police, firefighters, drones, and helicopters were sent to handle the situation and bring things under control.

Officials have asked people to wait and not draw conclusions on the incident that took place in the country like rapes, syringe attacks, and violence. It also said it will only be confirmed on what reasons led to the incident and what really happened once the investigation is finished.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
