Skoda has launched the sportier Kodiaq RS in India for Rs 66.99 lakh ex-showroom. It’s fully imported and is the most expensive Kodiaq you can buy. It costs about Rs 20 lakh more than the Selection L&K version that’s built in India.

Before it even launched, all 50 Kodiaq RS cars meant for India sold out in just six minutes when bookings opened on June 22. That shows people really wanted it. Skoda hasn’t said yet if they’ll bring more cars here.

Engine

It has a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. It features a 7-speed automatic gearbox and sends power to all the four wheels of the car.

Skoda claims that the car can go from 0 to 100 kilometer per hour in 6.3 seconds. For this reason this car will be the fastest Skoda ever sold in India.

The RS also gets special steering and adjustable suspension called DCC Plus with 15 settings. So you can choose between a comfortable ride or sporty handling.

Design Upgrades

It’s an even sportier take on the old design of the Kodiaq RS, boasting new bumpers, RS badges on the front and rear, large 20-inch wheels, an elevated rear spoiler on the roof, and two exhaust tips out back made of steel.

Additionally, gloss black accent elements feature on the grille, mirrors, window surrounds, roof rails and the rear pillars of the Kodiaq RS. It’s offered in four colours such as Velvet Red, Magic Black, Moon White and Steel Grey.
