Maruti Suzuki has hiked the prices of select variants of the Fronx by Rs 5,000. However, the price increase does not effect the cost of several others of the line-up as they remain unchanged. Both the naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol versions of the car have seen the price revisions.

With this upward price revision, the Fronx price has risen to Rs 6.90 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.03 lakh, ex-showroom, across the range.

The base Sigma trim offered in both the petrol and CNG manual variants have become costlier by Rs 5,000. Meanwhile, the Zeta and Alpha variants are also costlier by Rs. 5,000, as are the turbo-petrol manual and automatic variants.

Meanwhile, the Delta and Delta Plus trims, across their manual, automatic and CNG options remain unchanged with no price hike applied to them.

Under the hood, the Fronx offers a choice of two petrol engines. The standard unit is a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 89bhp and 113Nm, paired with a five-speed manual or automatic gearbox. The CNG version of this engine makes 76bhp. Higher up the range, Maruti Suzuki offers a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that generates 99bhp and 148Nm, available with a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque-converter automatic.
