Man drags girlfriend on bike after she forces him to marry in Bihar

Patna: A shocking video from Bihar’s Nalanda district has gone viral, showing a woman screaming for help as she is dragged for nearly 100 metres by a moving bike driven by her boyfriend after she pressed him to marry her and he refused.
In the video, a woman was seen clinging to the motorcycle as the man speeds away, while the locals watch in horror. Later, the motorcycle loses balance and both fell on the ground. Some locals come in surround him and then thrashes the man.
According to police, the man then claimed the woman was his wife and described the episode as a domestic dispute in an attempt to calm the angry crowd and avoid being assaulted further.
The accused, who works as an Amin(land survey official) in Nawada district’s Nardiganj, had reportedly come to Rajgir to meet the woman a few days ago.

During the meeting, the woman allegedly insisted that he marry her, and the man denied and then tried to flee on his motorcycle. When the woman attempted to stop him by holding onto the bike, he accelerated instead of stopping, dragging her along the road for nearly 100 metres as seen in the video.
The police said the two had been in a relationship for around five years.
Rajgir Police Station SHO Abhijeet Kumar said the incident was linked to a marriage dispute and confirmed that the accused is a government employee.
