3-year-old girl killed after sexual assault by migrant worker in Tamil Nadu

Chennai: A horrific incident took place in which a 3-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and killed by a migrant worker in Tamil Nadu. The worker has been arrested.

The incident occurred when the girl was lured for a biscuit while she was playing near her house and took her away. It is being said that the little girl was familiar with the accused man face.

As per reports, it is learned that the girl was found abandoned in bushy area. She was in a critically injured condition. She was alive when she was found, immediately taken to a hospital for treatment but got succumbed to injuries.

This case brought anger among the locals and few other people were beaten by them in suspicion to the incident. Later the police clarified that only one person has done it.

As per reports, the local Tamil Nadu Police has registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. More charges to be added as the girl dies.

This latest tragedy will probably bring more attention to how the government is handling crimes against women and children, and whether victims are getting justice quickly.
