IMD issues rain alert across North India, Delhi, Noida, Gurugram in list

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alert for many parts across North India as the monsoon has become more active. Delhi, Noida, Gurugram are part of the list.
Delhi is under yellow alert for rainfall; people in the area should be careful and be prepared for rain, thunderstorms and lightning. Some areas may receive light-moderate while some may get heavy rainfall.
The rain weather will get coolness but also increase the humidity.

As per reports, Waterlogging and traffic jams are also expected in many areas. People are advised to avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain, drive carefully, avoid flooded roads and carry an umbrella or raincoat when going outside.
The IMD has also warned of heavy rain in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, J&K where there is a risk of flash floods and landslides, especially in hilly areas.
