Cuttack: Four College students drown in Mahanadi river, One rescued, three bodies recovered

Cuttack: In a latest development in the unfortunate incident of four college students drowning in Mahanadi river, all three missing students bodies have been recovered by the fire service personnel by Monday morning.
The dead bodies of two students-Mukti Das and Amlan Das, was recovered on Saturday night. Meanwhile, the body of the third missing student, identified as Ajit Sahu, was recovered on Monday morning.
A group of college students from the Nayabazar area of Cuttack had reportedly gone to the river side at Satabatia to bath when four of them drowned and went missing after entering the river. The fire service personnel from Chauliaganja managed to rescue one of them on time and saved his life. However, other three students had gone missing.

The incident took place in Jagatpur area of Cuttack district on Sunday evening.
The Fire service personnel continued the search operation to trace and rescue the other three missing students. A total of three teams had been engaged in this rescue operation.
However, by the time they managed to trace the missing students they had died.
