After Trinamool Congress lost the 2026 elections, Ray went public with his frustration on social media. He also slammed the party over corruption issues.
His public callouts made people think he and the party leaders were clashing. That clash ended with him quitting both the Rajya Sabha and the Trinamool Congress.
Sukhendu Sekhar Ray made his debut in Rajya Sabha in the year 2011 and TMC sent him there 3 times in a row. He was acting as one of the party’s senior faces in Parliament.
