Woman was found dead in Sabarmati River in Gujarat, husband arrested after 9 years

Ahmedabad: The city crime branch of Ahmedabad has cracked the death case of woman who was found dead in Sabarmati River front nine years ago.
The arrested man is identified as 31-year-old Minesh Dinesh bhai Solanki who planned his wife’s murder 9 years ago and plotted it as an accident.
The incident took place during the festival of Rath Yatra when Minesh took his wife out to see the city during the event. They went to various places and during the night time the accused person took his wife to a riverfront and was having conversation. Later in the time Minesh picked up his wife and threw her in the river.
To not get caught for his crime, the man allegedly filled a missing complaint for her wife at the Police Station.

Following the complaint, search operations took place to find the woman. The woman was found dead few hours after the complaint was registered in the river. A case was registered as accidental death in that year.
The Ahmedabad police investigated the case again under technical data and old witness records. During the investigation it was learnt that her husband killed her due to domestic dispute in just four months of their marriage.
Following the investigation, Minesh Dinesh bhai Solanki was arrested. This is not his first crime as it is being said that he is involved in several other criminal offenses.
Further investigation into this matter is underway.
