Cyclone Arnab Impact: Schools, Colleges Closed In Ganjam & Gajapati Till Oct 31

Ganjam/Gajapati: In view of the continuous heavy rainfall and flood situation triggered by Cyclone Arnab, the district administrations of Ganjam and Gajapati have ordered closure of educational institutions till October 31.

As per an office order issued by the Office of the Collector & District Magistrate of Ganjam and Chhatrapur, all Anganwadi Centres, Schools, Degree Colleges, Technical Institutions and Departments of Universities functioning within Ganjam district will remain closed up to October 31.

The order is in continuation of earlier orders No. 3178 and 3181 dated 26.10.2026. All Heads of Institutions have been directed to ensure strict compliance. The order has come into force with immediate effect.

Similarly, the district administration of Gajapati has also announced closure of all schools in the district till October 31 in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
