Man critically injured after sharp weapon attack in Joda

Joda: A man was brutally thrashed with sharp weapons by unidentified assailants in Odisha’s Kendujhar district late on Thursday night, he was admitted to the hospital in a critical condition.

The incident occurred in the Patrasahi area of ward no. 9 of Joda Municipality.

The victim has been identified as Bishnu Nag (36) of Bholasahi under Hudisahi under Joda Police station limits.

According to reports, locals discovered Bishnu lying in a pool of blood at the roadside after he was attacked. They rushed to his help and admitted him to Tata Main Hospital in Joda.

The victim received critical injuries on his chest, back, hands, legs and shoulders.

Later on, doctors referred him to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) of Kendujhar in view of critical condition of his health.

While the reason behind the attack is yet to be known, police have assumed that prior enmity may have been the reason for the attack.

Joda Police have registered a case and started an investigation. They are also trying to find out and arrest the culprits involved in the incident.
