Royal Enfield has started deliveries of its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, in Bengaluru. The company has also set up a dedicated service and support network for the city for the motorcycle. The brand has multiple touchpoints stationed in the city to provide customers comprehensive coverage and convenient access.

Royal Enfield launched in India earlier this year at a price of Rs 2.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can also get the C6 at Rs 1.99 lakh via Flying Flea’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme. This is because the cost of the battery is separated from the vehicle itself.

Royal Enfield’s hub service centre is set up in BTM Layout that will manage more specialised service requirements. Meanwhile, multiple smaller centres have been spread across the whole city. This way it will be convenient for  customers to get servicing and maintenance.

Flying Flea is also leveraging Royal Enfield’s existing dealer network, operating in a shop-in-shop format within current Royal Enfield showrooms and service centres to maximise reach without having to build out an entirely separate physical footprint. As an owner of a C6, you’ll also have access to 24×7 roadside assistance.

Mechanically, the C6 is powered by a 3.91kWh battery pack, paired with a permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 15.4kW and 60Nm. It offers a claimed IDC range of 154km and is capable to reach 0-60kph time of 3.7 seconds. Royal Enfield claims that the electric bike offers a top speed of 115kph.

The bike is notably light and slim motorcycle with a weight of 124kg. It runs on a large 19-inch wheels with narrow 90-section tyres. It is equipped with an array of features including a 3.5-inch circular colour TFT display, adjustable regenerative braking, five riding modes, lean-sensitive traction control, and dual-channel ABS.

Flying Flea is following a city-by-city rollout strategy, with Bengaluru as its first market. The brand has indicated it will progressively expand to other major metro cities as part of a phased, measured approach.
