Commissionerate police probe death of Chauliaganj IIC Beauty Mohanty

Bhubaneswar: Investigation intensified in the death of PS IIC Beauty Mohanty as husband, sisters’ statements recorded.

The Commissionerate Police intensified its investigation into the death of Chauliaganj Police Station IIC Beauty Mohanty, whose body was found hanging in her official residence here on Sunday morning.

The husband and the two sisters of Beauty Mohanty have been taken into custody for recording of their statements under Section 180 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS).

Both were brought to the Chauliaganj police station, where their statements have been recorded.

The police is also examining the laptop and mobile phone of the deceased officer, and all electronic devices for her chats.

Meanwhile, the Mangalabag Police has registered a case of unnatural death and are probing the incident from all angles.
