IMD issues Thunderstorm,lightning warning to nine districts of Odisha for next three hours

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for thunderstorm, lightning, and light to moderate rainfall over nine Odisha districts in the next three hours.
According to the warning issued at 11:00 am, these weather activities are very likely to occur at one or two places in the next three hours. The districts which have been placed under the yellow message include Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Angul, and Dhenkanal.
The IMD has advised people residing in these districts to keep a close watch on the weather for any worsening conditions.

People have been urged to take necessary precautions and avoid open fields, hilltops, and water bodies during the period of warning.
The weather department will continue to monitor the developing situation and issue further updates if required.
