Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to get some relief from the October heat as day temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for 14 districts of the state for today.
According to the Regional Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar, wind speeds may reach 30-40 kmph in some places during the adverse weather conditions.
The weather is likely to change due to the presence of two trough lines over eastern India. Their influence may trigger rain accompanied by lightning and thunderstorms across several districts.
Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Kataka, Sundargada, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Sambalpur and Debagada including 14 districts are under yellow warning.
