This year’s festival, themed “Guru Shishya Parampara,” pays homage to the sacred tradition of the teacher-student relationship, a cornerstone of Indian classical art forms. The event will showcase an amalgamation of classical dance styles performed by distinguished artists and their disciples, providing a unique opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in India’s rich cultural heritage.

The Crafts Council of Karnataka presents Vastrabharana – its annual flagship exhibition and sale of handcrafted textiles and jewellery. The change of seasons influences the materials, designs, motifs and use of different textiles throughout the year. For craftspeople, it also affects different processes and methods that rely on the weather, such as natural dyeing and block printing processes, or the availability of certain raw materials.
