Girls’ inter-school zonal level tournament kicks off in Bhaderwah

Bhaderwah, May 16: The Inter-School Zonal Level Tournament for Under-14/17 Girls began at Government Girls Higher Secondary School (GGHSS) Bhaderwah on Friday.

The event witnessed an opening with great excitement and energy, bringing together young talent from across the zone of Bhaderwah.

The tournament was inaugurated by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar Bhutyal in the presence of Executive Engineer PWD Rajinder Kumar. Principal of the host school Shafayat Ali, ZPEO Vijay Kumar, lecturers, REKs, NYCs, PEMs, PETs and sports lovers were also present at that time.

The tournament organised by the Department of Youth Services & Sports would witness competitions in the disciplines of Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, volleyball, athletics, carrom, chess, tug of war, cricket, yoga, etc.

The tournament aims to promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and the empowerment of young girls through sports. The tournament will continue on for days.

The matches are being coordinated by trained officials of the Department of Youth Services & Sports of zone Bhaderwah.
