Srinagar, Sep 22: The Khyber Red Premier League (KRPL) 2024 has set Srinagar’s cricketing world ablaze with a series of thrilling matches showcasing the local finest talent.

The tournament, hosted at DPS Srinagar Ground, has become a magnet for cricket enthusiasts from across the Kashmir valley, all eager to witness the fierce competition and outstanding performances on display.

   

Since its kickoff on September 17, the KRPL has delivered non-stop excitement. The opening day saw Sultan Warriors Baramulla triumph over Emperos Force by 47 runs, while Royal Goodwill CC dominated Elegant Strikers with a commanding 119-run victory. The action continued on September 18, with Elegant Strikers bouncing back to secure a 4-wicket win against Valley Fresh CC.

As the tournament progressed, the intensity of the matches only increased. September 20 witnessed Royal Goodwill CC’s impressive 8-wicket victory over Sultan Warriors Baramulla, followed by Emperos Force’s dominant 85-run win against Valley Fresh CC. The excitement peaked on September 21, with Emperos Force overcoming Royal Goodwill CC by 66 runs, and Elegant Strikers delivering a crushing 195-run defeat to Srinagar Sultans.

The KRPL 2024 has become a stage for exceptional individual performances. Jatin Saxena of Emperos Force has been a standout batsman, amassing 160 runs in just three matches at an impressive average of 80.00 and a striking rate of 145.67. His crucial innings against Royal Goodwill CC proved pivotal in securing victory for his team.

Royal Goodwill CC’s Ishtiyak Rasool has emerged as a true all-rounder, scoring 150 runs at an average of 75.00 while also claiming 5 wickets. His contributions were instrumental in his team’s victories over both Elegant Strikers and Sultan Warriors.

However, it was Abhishek Pathak of Elegant Strikers who etched his name in KRPL history. With a tournament tally of 190 runs at an outstanding average of 95.00 and a blistering strike rate of 150.00, Pathak became the first centurion of the KRPL during his memorable innings against Srinagar Sultans.

Not to be overlooked, Rayees Ahmed of Sultan Warriors Baramulla has showcased his all-round prowess, accumulating 120 runs at an average of 60.00 while also taking 3 crucial wickets across his three matches.
